Well Nick Hagen, I respect your attempt at civility. It is much needed. You do well enough at telling both sides of the story and you are correct that contrary opinions need to be seen on Fox and MSNBC. But they need to be argued in person, together, so we can discern the truth ourselves. Ted Cruz and Van Jones need to argue a point together.

Now, does truth have an ideology? Do we still hold the self-evident truths in the Declaration of Independence? Does virtue have a place in politics? In life? Are we cogs or are we sovereign individuals as intended by the founders?

These are all questions answered awhile ago. But why must we still defend the freedom our constitution and our form of government was devised to protect?

The only legitimate issue in our politics is how best to protect freedom. The energy and treasure devoted to politics today is shameful. We should be able to live our lives with the least interference from the "State."

Please don't infer in my tone as anything other than friendly. I am often accused of being too serious. (Correctly)
